Phil Bonner had a relatively short career in the world of top level drag racing but his impact is still felt today and fans of the blue oval brand still herald Bonner as one of the best that ever strapped himself into a full bodied car. His career began like many did down south in the 1950s by hitting strips in the car he drove around every day. Beating on that old Ford with its automatic transmission on strips paved with dirt and clay helped set the stage for a meteoric rise through the straight line ranks that began in the early 1960s and ended at the close of the decade with a chosen retirement. There was certainly a lot of stuff that happened in the middle, though. Bonner was front and center through the rapid and often scary evolution of the funny car from the era of over powered and under chassied door slammers to the “advanced” tube chassis, flip top cars that were part of the program during the late 1960s. He ran Ford cars from the beginning right up until he chose to retire from the sport in 1969 when he saw the writing on the wall for Ford’s factory supported drag program and went back to the world of selling cars. . In 1971, however, Barracuda buyers could choose from just about every engine Plymouth produced, just as they had been able to the year before. Since the Coupe was just a stripped down hardtop model, their production numbers are grouped together. While these were the best selling models of the 1971 Barracudas, their production was only at 9,459. The Coupe had a base price of $2,654, while the Hardtop started at $2,766. The convertible began at $3,023 and had a production run of 1,014. . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! .

Note: This is a 1:18 Scale replica of the 1st 1967 Pontiac built - Serial # 001! Some images are of the real car. . .   The Pontiac Firebird holds a well-deserved legacy among classic American pony cars. The pair with VIN 001 and 002 came out of the Pontiac Lordstown, OH, assembly plant in early 1967. Pontiac toured with them for auto shows and marketing materials before eventually selling them. The Serial Number 001 Pontiac Firebird was restored to stock condition by adding a fresh coat of Regimental Red paint, which matches the red interior, adding a traditional black convertible top, and restoring the nuts and bolts. Incredibly, it features the original L30 326-cubic-inch V8 engine and boasts a 2-barrel Rochester carburetor that produces 250 horsepower. This model will also feature ALL NEW WHEEL TOOLING FOR SERIAL #1. The 1967 Pontiac Firebird H.O. Serial #002 was the second Firebird produced and the first in a coupe configuration. Decked out in silver paint with a black vinyl top and powered by a V8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor, higher compression and dual exhaust, it produces up to 285 hp. Firebirds inspired generations of auto enthusiasts. We’re stoked to see them restored to their former glory and given the proper respect they deserve. . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! . .

Another very historically significant Pontiac, this is one of the last 1971 GTO Judges produced of the 357 cars built. Pontiac introduced the 455 HO rated at 335 HP at 4,800 RPM and 480 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM on the strength of the improved breathing inherent in its Ram Air IV round-port heads, 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. The GTO and its Judge variant were more attractive machines if one’s tastes leaned toward the more daring, the Judge adding bold graphic excitement to the GTO’s restyled nose treatment and flared fender brows.

Quezel Gold metallic paint and contrasting Judge emblems and graphics adorn this GTO, which is one of the last Judges known to have been built in the model’s history.  . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! .

If you ask most automobile enthusiasts what the first true muscle car was, it is highly likely they will respond swiftly and authoritatively with three simple letters “GTO”.  In 1971, the last year of Judge production, there were only 357 produced. Of those, only a mere 17 were convertibles. After 1971, GM was working to reduce compression ratios in preparation for the coming unleaded gasoline and stricter EPA regulations. But, Pontiac’s pain is a modern enthusiast’s gain, as only 17 of those 357 Judge models were convertibles. This puts it on equal footing in the rarity stakes with such luminous and legendary muscle cars as the 1970-71 Hemi Cuda convertibles. This rare 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge convertible, in Castilian Bronze, is one of the 17 built for the 1971 model year.  Exceedingly rare and packed with factory options, this final-year GTO Judge convertible has all the qualities that have elevated The Judge to peak of the muscle car hierarchy . The wuz doin pretty fair pullin them out the water when PC said, “"I've got to make a shine run to Dawsonville tonight, you wanna help?" Crazy Ben said " I here tell that the laws been checking everything that runs near Dawsonville, how we gonna get by?" " Let em get to smellin and the cops won't come near" “It’ll take all dang day to catch enough to cover that trunk and we ain’t got the time” Ben said. PC thought on it for a spell and said, "Well this here boom stick'll get the job done, now sit down and quit your whinin while ol' PC here gets the job done." Well, that’s what they done and it took the boys most of the afternoon to gather them up. Then they covered the shine with and old roof tarp and layered the bags of fish over the top. That evening they took off for Dawsonville and it’s a bit of a drive to get there. On the way, that load of fish started to stank something terrible, and Crazy Ben could hardly stand it. PC said, “I don’t like it but it’s gonna get us through. Sure enough as they got near Dawsonville, the law had set up a road block. Well, as they were in line the cars behind them started to back up and turn around and the law wuz sure givin them the eye. When the pulled up the deputy had covered his face and said, “What the devil you carryin in the heap, manure or what?” The PC started spinnin a yarn about their fishin and how much they caught and the deputy said, “I don’t give a hoot about your fishin, get that stanky contraption outta here!” So, PC dropped the hammer on the 426 Hemi engine and sped away. Crazy Ben said, Theys gonna come after us, slow down.” PC just smiled and said, “First off they ain’t gonna catch us, and trust me, they don’t want nothin from this car. . . .
