Even though it’s called “Black”, this is more of a dark green metallic with a hint of black. In the shade, the car looks nearly black, but under direct sunlight the metallic flakes shine through making the car look somewhat like a deep forest or mossy green. This is one of the rarest and most unique Mustang colors of the late 60s, which makes it perfect for something like the Boss 429.   Special Offer!! In the history of American muscle cars, few names evoke as much raw excitement and nostalgic reverence as the Dodge Challenger. From the factory, this Challenger is very unique. It rolled out of the Dodge Main plant in Hamtramck, Michigan in March 1971 painted GY8 Gold Metallic with a black vinyl top, black R/T stripes and a jaw dropping green plaid cloth and vinyl bucket seat interior. The other was to offer bigger engines in a mid-size body style whose VIN didn’t give anything away to your insurance agent. This legend was born when George Hurst fell in love with the all-new Cutlass Supreme body style for 1970. He tasked John Beltz and Jim Wangers to build him an Olds super car in Black & Gold. It was equipped with the 455 power plant and Hurts's signature dual-gate shifter. Sadly, Oldsmobile declined the opportunity to work with Hurst to produce this car, so the black and gold 1970 Hurst/Olds remains a unique one of one. .
