Even though it’s called “Black”, this is more of a dark green metallic with a hint of black. In the shade, the car looks nearly black, but under direct sunlight the metallic flakes shine through making the car look somewhat like a deep forest or mossy green. It changed hands over the years with its incredible significance going unnoticed by the previous owners. It was repainted Wimbledon White and had drag wheels and tires added at some point. Nearly lost forever, it has been rescued and is being restored back to its original glory!  Serial number KK1201 is the holy grail of the Boss 429s. It is the very first 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 ever assembled! It is also the very first 4 speed, shaker hood car ever produced!  Kar Kraft's main purpose for KK1201 was wheel and tire fitment and testing. On closer examination, however, the velocity stacks provide the hint that something special lurks underneath. The A/FX Mustangs all used Ford 427 cubic-inch engines, five of which were the SOHC (single overhead cam) version of that power plant.
