In the winter of 1970, a Mr. Wayne Hagen caught wind of some rattling news: the Judge was retiring. In this case, no political figure was stepping down but rather Pontiac’s sportster of the same name. “He wanted one his whole life but couldn’t swing it financially,’ recalls his wife, Mary. “Realizing this would be his last chance to get one, he figured he should get moving.” . In April of 1971, the lovebirds swung by Hansord Pontiac, in Minneapolis, only to be greeted with a terrible announcement: they were too late. “The sales staff said sadly we had missed the boat in getting in an order,’ recalls Mary. Officially, the Judge was discontinued in February and here it was nearly a month later. “We told them we weren’t interested anymore and started to leave,’ said Mary. “Before we could get to the door, they said they would call up Pontiac and ask if they’ll make one more.” . Further pressing their luck, the Hagens had a special request: the car needed to be painted in their favorite color, Orbit Orange. “We had to have one in that color, we just loved it,’ gushed Mary. Easier said than done, that vibrant hue was no longer available for the 1971 model year. Still, eager for a sale, the dealership put in a special paint request to make it happen. . Please Note:  We do not charge your credit card for Pre Orders or Back Orders until the item is in stock and ready to ship to you! . . . Unearthed for the first time in years, the Judge sees daylight. As of now, the vehicle shows to be the last GTO Judge produced in 1971. .

Note: This is a 1:18 Scale replica of the 1st 1967 Pontiac built - Serial # 001! Some images are of the real car. . .   The Pontiac Firebird holds a well-deserved legacy among classic American pony cars. The pair with VIN 001 and 002 came out of the Pontiac Lordstown, OH, assembly plant in early 1967. Pontiac toured with them for auto shows and marketing materials before eventually selling them. The Serial Number 001 Pontiac Firebird was restored to stock condition by adding a fresh coat of Regimental Red paint, which matches the red interior, adding a traditional black convertible top, and restoring the nuts and bolts. Incredibly, it features the original L30 326-cubic-inch V8 engine and boasts a 2-barrel Rochester carburetor that produces 250 horsepower. This model will also feature ALL NEW WHEEL TOOLING FOR SERIAL #1. The 1967 Pontiac Firebird H.O. Serial #002 was the second Firebird produced and the first in a coupe configuration. Decked out in silver paint with a black vinyl top and powered by a V8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor, higher compression and dual exhaust, it produces up to 285 hp. Firebirds inspired generations of auto enthusiasts. We’re stoked to see them restored to their former glory and given the proper respect they deserve. . Note: Your Credit Card will not be charged until the item is ready to ship! . .

If you ask most automobile enthusiasts what the first true muscle car was, it is highly likely they will respond swiftly and authoritatively with three simple letters “GTO”.  In 1971, the last year of Judge production, there were only 357 produced. Of those, only a mere 17 were convertibles. After 1971, GM was working to reduce compression ratios in preparation for the coming unleaded gasoline and stricter EPA regulations. But, Pontiac’s pain is a modern enthusiast’s gain, as only 17 of those 357 Judge models were convertibles. This puts it on equal footing in the rarity stakes with such luminous and legendary muscle cars as the 1970-71 Hemi Cuda convertibles. This rare 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge convertible, in Castilian Bronze, is one of the 17 built for the 1971 model year.  Exceedingly rare and packed with factory options, this final-year GTO Judge convertible has all the qualities that have elevated The Judge to peak of the muscle car hierarchy .
