PYE has been working with Arnie towards the release of Arnie’s newest car for
almost two years. As many of you know Arnie had a terrible accident in the original Tameless Tiger Pro Mod at Mid America Raceway at Wentzville, MO. August 3rd. 2003. Much of the original Tameless Tiger was destroyed by a fire caused by a faulty nitros solenoid. Arnie’s crew chief, family, friends and sponsors all pulled together to literally rebuild the Tiger from the ashes. The first Tameless Tiger was campaigned from 1996-2003. The new car…Tameless Tiger II is the car that Arnie campaigns across the country in exhibition & match racing. Arnie’s inaugural run down the track with T.T. II was August 2006 at Cordova Dragway Park in Cordova IL at the age of 76, this year Arnie turns 80. The 572 cubic inch Tameless Tiger II GTO is capable of turning 7 second quarter mile times at 200 M.P.H. Arnie started racing in 1951; he went to Pontiacs in 1958 & has been with Pontiac for almost his entire racing career. He has raced in Stock, Super Stock, AF/X and Funny Car. Arnie has won many class victories and national events and was known as Mr. Stock Eliminator. Arnie was the first driver to break into the 9’s and then the 8 second bracket in a stock bodied car..! In recent years Arnie has been honored with several achievement awards & Hall of Fame inductions. THE TIGER IS ON THE LOOSE..! Watch for Arnie storm’in down a drag strip near you. GTO by PONTIAC. Over the years, there were 42 different Pontiacs in the Tin Indian family. The Knafel Teams won more National/World Championships than any other stock class team... GM, Ford, and Mopar included. This 1970 Judge dominated the tracks and Won the AHRA Pro-Am Nationals at Rockingham, NC, and the AHRA World Championship at Bristol, TN.
