This realistic 1:18 model was created with Jenkins’ input and careful research. Components from ERTL’s Authentics series Camaro were used, along with several new molds. The model replicates many of the real car’s features including: “race day” graphics as seen at the 1968 World Finals, Cragar wheels, slicks, Tunnel Ram intake manifold with two carburetors, opening hood with authentic type hinges with real springs and an aluminum colored hood scoop; doors with authentic type hinges; opening trunk; wired and plumbed engine, traction bars, open headers, detailed chassis, removal of antenna, wipers, and outside mirror; and more. On the box you will find the Grump’s own comments about his car.
  • First car supplied to Jenkins by Chevrolet
  • First of 8 Grumpy’s Camaros
  • First fitted with Cragar wheels
  • First powered by a big block Chevy
  • First Chevy Grump drove to a national event win
  • First fitted with a larger than stock displacement engine
  • First to be fitted with a Tunnel Ram intake manifold
  • First with 2 carburetors
  • First car on which the famous “Grump Hump” appeared
  • First to run in the 10s
  • First to wheelie
  • In A/MP trim, it was essentially an early Pro Stock car
  • Jenkins’ first 3 pro stock Camaros were very similar to the A/MP Camaro
